How RatedDocs is different
Most sites sell a city, a clinic, or an ad. We list a person who passed six checks. If they fail, they are not on the site.
| RatedDocs | Typical directories & agencies | |
|---|---|---|
| Who is listed | The individual dentist who will sit at the chair. | Usually a clinic brand, a sales desk, or a city package. |
| What “verified” means | Six files. All pass, or they are not Verified. No 98. | Often a paid badge, a star average, or a form they filled themselves. |
| Who pays for the check | The dentist pays a review seat after they apply. The fee does not buy a pass. | Clinics often pay to be featured. That is advertising. |
| JCI / hospital badges | Fine for the building. It is not a licence for this dentist. We still check the person. | A clinic accreditation is often sold as the whole safety story. |
| Who you speak to | The dentist named on the profile. 15 minutes on video. Nobody assigns “whoever is free.” | A coordinator or sales desk often books the clinic. You may meet the dentist on the day. |
| If the price jumps | If the exam quote is more than 15% above the first written quote, the hold comes back. | Surprise add-ons after you are already in the chair are common in public complaints. |
| If treatment fails at home | We check that a written warranty exists — how long, what is covered, what is not. We do not treat you, and we are not liable for the clinical result. | Recourse in another country is often thin. The Ontario Dental Association says guarantees may be meaningless for a non-resident. |
Bookimed, PlacidWay, WhatClinic, and Google reviews can still be useful reading. They are not a substitute for a licence check on the named dentist. We do not treat you. We do not promise a clinical result.
Short answers
- How is RatedDocs different from Bookimed or PlacidWay?
- RatedDocs verifies the individual dentist who will sit at the chair. Bookimed, PlacidWay, WhatClinic, and similar sites typically list clinic brands, packages, or ads. A clinic name is not a licence.
- Does RatedDocs sell a better ranking to dentists?
- No. A dentist is listed because they passed six checks. Membership pays for human review. It does not buy a pass or a higher place on the page.
